She wanted to own her platform
Dannella got in touch with us because she used to work with a service provider that took a percentage of her revenue, and she wanted to build something of her own.
Over the years, she had built a strong community of women on Instagram and socials who strive to become the best version of themselves, both physically and mentally.
She also used to sell e-books, which were very popular. The problem with e-books was that they can be easily shared — a lot of people on Reddit would just share them. She wanted to build a strong membership model for her business, a digital tool which is more interactive than the e-books and gives a better user experience for the users.
A membership model she fully owns
Dannella wanted a comprehensive fitness, wellness, and nutrition app offering personalised programs based on individual goals and body measurements, with community engagement tools, progress tracking capabilities, and scalability for future integrations.
She wanted to move away from the revenue-sharing model and own her platform completely.
Designed from scratch, aligned with her vision
We designed the app from scratch. We went through the whole design phase with Dannella to make sure the app aligns with her vision and goals.
We focused on user-centric design, progress tracking features, and building a backend that supports Apple Health & Google Fit integration and allows for future expansions.
From training plans to a full ecosystem
Initially focusing on workouts and macros, the app grew to include nutrition, challenges, and more.
Fitness Plans
Home and gym workout programs tailored to individual goals and body measurements.
Workout Scheduling
Week-wise structured training with video demonstrations.
Nutrition Component
Macro-friendly recipes, nutrition tips, and insights. The app grew from training-only to include a full nutrition component.
Challenges
Multiple challenges throughout the year, alongside monthly and annual memberships. A key revenue driver for the business.
Progress Tracking
Daily, weekly, and monthly measurement tracking with photo uploads.
Health Integration
Apple Health & Google Fit integration for comprehensive fitness data and motivational notifications.
